"Mahajanaka Dance Drama" 

A collaboration with music producer Sebastian Reynolds and Thai dance artist Pichet Klunchun

Neon Dance choreographer and director Adrienne Hart travelled with composer / producer Sebastian Reynolds to Bangkok, Thailand in May 2016 to research Thai dance and music traditions within the context of Buddhist Jataka mythology. The creative duo have since pulled together a team of collaborators including the renowned dance artist Pichet Klunchun to create new work 'Mahajanaka Dance Drama'. Previewing at Wilshire Music Centre in 2018, the production has just completed its first UK tour taking in a diverse range of music venues, theatre’s and library spaces including a London premiere at the British Library over two sold out evenings.

After preview performances at Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis and Wiltshire Music Centre in 2018, Mahajanaka Dance Drama embarked on its first UK tour in November 2019, featuring traditional Thai musicians Pradit Saengkrai and Great Lekakul.
