We're super happy to be working in collaboration with Oxford based composer Sebastian Reynolds and the award winning Thai dance artist Pichet Klunchun on an evening of live traditional Thai music and dance, with a modern, contemporary twist! Informed by research trips to Bangkok exploring Jataka mythology in contemporary Thailand and subsequent studio time with our collaborative team at DanceXchange we're now into the final phase of development as we produce 'Mahajanaka' a retelling of a traditional Jataka tale. There will be a few opportunities to find out more about this international project kicking off at the Ashmolean Museum on the 15th February (12.30 - 1.30 in the lecture room - free to attend).
